Victor Holiney, a third-year student majoring in Secondary Education (Physical Education) at the Kolomyia Educational and Scientific Institute, Master of Sports of Ukraine of International Class, became the winner of the Ukrainian Classic Bench Press Championship. He won 1st place in the weight category over 120 kg with a result of 246 kg and set the record of Ukraine in classic bench press among juniors and adults.
The student-sportsman trains under the guidance of top-tier coaches Vasyl Hrytska and Anna Lytvyn, who are graduates of the Kolomyia Educational and Scientific Institute, majoring in Secondary Education (Physical Education).
It should be noted that the Championship of Ukraine in classic bench press took place in the city of Khmelnytskyi on April 3-6, in which more than 200 sportsmen from all regions of our country took part. There competed sportsmen of different ages – boys and girls, juniors, men, women and veterans.
