Master’s student Vasyl Kush won the Grand-prix of the international competition

The 9th International Competition of Young Performers “Podilskyi Vodohrai” took place on 5-7 April in Vinnytsia. It was attended by more than 100 participants – pupils and students of music schools and higher educational establishments of Ukraine.

Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University was represented at the International Competition by Vasyl Kush – the first-year master’s student of the Department of Performing Arts of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Arts.

According to the results of the competition commission, our student Vasyl Kush won the Grand-Prix in the category “Wind and percussion instruments”. He performed works of M. Lysenko (fantasy on Ukrainian folk themes) and F. Pulenko (sonata for flute and piano).

Master’s student Vasyl Kush is studying in the class of Taras Kolomiiets – the senior lecturer at the Department of Performing Arts of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Arts, the accompanist – Nataliia Lesiv.
